But today we're not talking about just ANY products, we're talking about a couple of my favorites! Isn't that exciting?
I'm here to tell you that Boots No. 7 makes some pretty nice skin care goodies. I'd heard of the company before. In fact, I've used their mascara in the past, but not their skincare line. Now before we get into the details, let me just make a quick little disclaimer so you know you can trust in my opinion:
Disclaimer: I received these products for free to test and provide my honest opinion of them. I am not compensated in any way so you can trust that what I’m saying here is what I really feel.
There. Now that we're all feeling warm and fuzzy knowing I'm not going to get a big fat check for telling you what I'm about to, we'll all sleep better tonight. :)
So when I found the Dry/Very Dry versions
as a bonus in my Influenster Beauty Blogger 2012 VoxBox, I was definitely
intrigued especially given their price points. Inexpensive skin care that
doesn't have a ton of steps is something I can really get behind.
Enter No. 7 Beautiful Skin….2 steps….with
different formulations depending on your skin type.
The Cleansing Balm for Dry/Very Dry skin
is wonderful - you put a small amount over your skin and then choose whether to
wipe off with a soft cloth or to splash it off with warm water.
I was surprised after cleansing that my
face didn't feel like I'd been in the desert. It is the typical result of face
washing for me...especially in winter....but not this time. That certainly was
a nice benefit and the benefit was the same regardless of how I washed it off.
Bonus!
I also really like their night cream.
Cold weather and my skin....not friends. I, of course, used this after
cleansing in the evening - I'm quite the scholar to be able to figure out that
night cream goes on at night, right?
But I also gave it a test run on a day
when I was going to be out in rather nippy weather just to see how that would
work. (We won't mention that it was partly out of desperation because the
travel sized moisturizer I'd packed had run out - due to the packaging of said
moisturizer, I couldn't tell I had only about a day's worth when I packed.
Boo!) From my perspective, it did great. It didn't feel too heavy so I was
happy!
